Today, the executive team of the School of Social Innovation (Soc.In), Mae Fah Luang University—Dean Assistant Professor Dr. Thanikun Chantra, Assistant Dean Dr. Jaruwan Hatapasu, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Maya Dania—held a strategic meeting with Dr. Carl Grundy-Warr from the Department of Geography, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, National University of Singapore (NUS).
The discussion marks the beginning of a forward-looking academic collaboration between Soc.In (MFU) and Department of Geography NUS, with initial agreement on: Undergraduate field trip programmes in Chiang Rai and Joint academic seminars on the Mekong region.
This partnership advances shared commitments to SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), while strengthening Soc.In’s GLOCAL core values—connecting global academic excellence with grounded local engagement.
