Lecture on “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Ethics of Knowing: Learning, Power, and Global Development”

On 8 April 2026, the School of Social Innovation, Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) successfully hosted the Special Lecture on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Ethics, and Global Development under the theme: “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Ethics of Knowing: Learning, Power, and Global Development”

The session was delivered by Prof. Dr. Rr. Siti Murtiningsih, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia, whose insights critically addressed the role of AI in shaping knowledge, power, and education in contemporary global contexts.

Following the lecture, a strategic meeting was held between the Dean of the School of Social Innovation (MFU), Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanikun Chantra, and the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy (UGM), Prof. Dr. Rr. Siti Murtiningsih to advance collaboration under the existing MoU framework.

Key areas of collaboration discussed include:

- Student Exchange Programs,

- Lecturer Exchange Initiatives,

- Joint Research Collaborations and Publications.

This engagement marks an important step toward strengthening international academic partnerships and expanding opportunities for global learning and research.
