Congratulations to Assistant Professor Dr. Maya Dania

Asst. Prof. Maya Dania has been officially invited by the Asia Research Institute (ARI), National University of Singapore, to present her paper “Women, Toxic Geologies, and More-than-Human Mekong Ecologies: Vernacular Resistance in the Patchy Anthropocene of Chiang Khong, Thailand” at the international workshop “The Geological Turn in Asia: Empires, Geological Knowledge, and Geological Agencies” on 4–5 September 2025 in Singapore.
This achievement highlights her ongoing contribution at the School of Social Innovation to advancing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) —
SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being through environmental justice and pollution studies,
SDG 5: Gender Equality through feminist political ecology and women’s agency in environmental governance, and
SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation through research on toxic geographies and water ecologies in the Mekong region.
