School of Social Innnovation is pleased to host Assist. Prof. Dr. Sudpratana Nimsakul from Mahidol University as a guest lecturer in Aging Society and Development, a course taught by Dr. Ao Jaruwan Hatapasu at the School of Social Innovation.
Her lecture, “Global and Local in an Ageing Society: Lessons from Japan and Thailand,” offered a comparative perspective on demographic transitions, examining how aging societies are shaped by policy frameworks, care systems, and community responses. The session engaged students in critical discussion on social protection, long-term care, and the challenges of rapidly aging populations in Asia.
This learning activity contributes to advancing SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), particularly in addressing inclusive care systems and equitable support for aging populations.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Sudpratana for her valuable contribution to student learning and academic exchange.
