At the School of Social Innovation, Dr. Suebsakun Kidnukorn, Lecturer, teaches Introduction to Border Studies, Globalization and Development, Research Methodology, and Civil Society.
His current research examines human trafficking in Tachileik, exploring cross-border vulnerabilities, power relations, and ongoing human rights challenges in the Thailand–Myanmar borderlands. The project is in its early proposal stage and aims to address structural and persistent issues through critical social research.
Dr. Suebsakun advances the SDGs through teaching and critical research that question global development narratives, emphasizing fairness, participation, and justice in transnational and border contexts. His work invites reflection on how structural inequality and market-driven development shape sustainability discourses in the Global South.
His key priority is SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) — highlighting that fairness and participation are the foundation of all other goals. Without equity in power and resources, no partnership can be genuine, and no sustainable development can truly succeed.

งานวิจัยปัจจุบันของเขาศึกษา การค้ามนุษย์ในท่าขี้เหล็ก โดยสำรวจ ความเปราะบางข้ามพรมแดน ความสัมพันธ์เชิงอำนาจ และ ความท้าทายด้านสิทธิมนุษยชน ที่ยังดำรงอยู่ในพื้นที่ชายแดนไทย–เมียนมา โครงการนี้อยู่ในระยะเริ่มต้นและมุ่งหวังที่จะตอบโจทย์ปัญหาเชิงโครงสร้างที่ยืดเยื้อ ผ่านงานวิจัยทางสังคมเชิงวิพากษ์
ดร.สืบสกุลขับเคลื่อน SDGs ผ่านการสอนและงานวิจัยเชิงวิพากษ์ที่ตั้งคำถามต่อวาทกรรมการพัฒนาระดับโลก โดยเน้นประเด็น ความเป็นธรรม การมีส่วนร่วม และความยุติธรรม ในบริบทข้ามชาติและพื้นที่ชายแดน งานของเขาชวนให้สังคมได้พิจารณาว่า ความเหลื่อมล้ำเชิงโครงสร้าง และ การพัฒนาที่ขับเคลื่อนด้วยกลไกตลาด ส่งผลอย่างไรต่อแนวคิดและการสื่อสารเรื่องความยั่งยืนในประเทศกำลังพัฒนา
เป้าหมายหลักของเขาคือ SDG 17 (หุ้นส่วนความร่วมมือเพื่อการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน) โดยเน้นว่า ความเป็นธรรมและการมีส่วนร่วม คือรากฐานของการบรรลุเป้าหมาย SDGs ทุกข้อ หากปราศจากความเสมอภาคทั้งด้านอำนาจและทรัพยากร ความร่วมมือใด ๆ ก็ไม่อาจเป็นของจริง และการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนก็ไม่อาจเกิดขึ้นได้อย่างแท้จริง
