Asst. Prof. Pathompong Manohan believes that understanding poverty requires looking beyond numbers — to the lived realities of people in borderland communities.
Through his teaching in Economics for Poverty Reduction and History and Culture for Borderlands in Southeast Asia, and his research on urban poverty and inequality in Chiang Rai’s emerging cities, he bridges academic insight with social change.
His focus on SDG 1 (No Poverty) reflects his commitment to inclusive, grounded, and community-based development that restores dignity and opportunity for all.
