School of Social Innovation, Mae Fah Luang University and Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Hiroshima University is delighted to announce the admission for Master Degree of Arts in International Development. The period of admission is from May 20 - June 24, 2020.

This program is aimed at giving students a unique special academic and research opportunity in acquiring knowledge in a dual specialized course in international development at Hiroshima University, Japan and Mae Fah Luang University, Thailand.

This double master degree program is designed for students who wish to pursue their goals working with global and regional international organizations, non-government organizations, government agencies, and private sectors in response to the complexity of the world and global changes in the 21st century. This program provides students with a good strong academic foundation both theoretically and practically in International development.

The scope of the study is covered various issues in international development such as international politics, government and good governance, roles of great power in SEA, economic policy & development, equality and gender, human rights, migration, democracy & democratization, peace, conflict & conflict management, environmental challenges, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and Public-Private Partnership (PPP).

DD Program Structure:

MFU Courses completion requirement 36 credits (Study at Chiang Rai, Thailand)

  • Common course: 12 credits
  • Elective course: 12 credits
  • Thesis: 12 credits

HU Courses completion requirement 30 credits (Study at Hiroshima, Japan)

  • Common Graduate course: 2 credits
  • Common Graduate school course: 4 credits
  • Common Division course: 2 credits
  • Program Specialization Course: 16 credits
  • Specialization Course from other Program 2 credits
  • International Peace and Co-existence Program Specialization Course, or Specialization Course from Other Program: 4 credits
  • Thesis:  non credit

Remark: able to transfer 10 MFUs credits to HU
